Cool New Italian Bike Range From Max Lelli Launch In America At Interbike

Italian ex-pro rider Massimiliano Lelli may be best remembered in America for an audacious solo win in the 1997 Core States USPRO championships in Philadelphia, PA. The 39 year old Tuscano from Manciano, Italy retired from the pro peloton in 2004 and after two years of intense research, careful development and extensive testing, Lelli is launching his own bike brand,
Max Lelli Bikes.

Launched in Europe at Eurobike 2007, Max Lelli has brought his innovative line of designed and made in Italy bicyles to Interbike Las Vegas 2007 for their American launch. Nicknamed "Il Cinghialino" after the wild boars in his native Maremma region of Tuscany, Lelli explains his inspiration for launching Max Lelli Bikes: "It's always been a dream of mine to create my own bicycle brand.

During my 30 year racing career, I've used all kinds of bicycles, all the top brands, and some were good and others not so good. Over the last three decades on the bike, I think I learned something about bicycles, so I wanted to create my own brand, to bring my experience to other riders. After all of that riding, I think I even have the bicycle in my soul!"

Lelli's partner in Max Lelli Bikes is Marco Bonelli, an Italian who lives in the United States and who is totally passionate about cycling. Bonelli met Lelli's at his agriturismo (country inn) "Il Raduno" in Manciano, where he went to ride with friends. Lelli and Bonelli hit it off and decided to channel their mutual passion for cycling and bicycles into Max Lelli Bikes. "I proud to work with Max Lelli to launch this bicycle brand. Our mutual passion and Max's vast racing experience have allowed us to create an exciting, innovative range of bicycles, all designed and made in Italy."
